DEMENTIA CARE SERVICES
People with dementia vary considerably but too often they can be pigeon-holed. Recognizing their unique needs is helpful for carers, families and the people in care alike. Necessary services can range from practical duties such as cooking, ironing and shopping to providing stability and continuity as an older person has trouble in their day-to-day living. Our services are reliable, professional and personal and always try to match the best candidates with the right jobs.
Alzheimer's home care
As the person moves through the stages of Alzheimer's, the role of carers in managing daily tasks increases. As well as providing essential care services and assisting with practical requirements, our carers offer emotional care to both clients and their families as they acclimatize to the changes brought on by this disease.
PHYSICAL DISABILITIES
We adapt our care plans according to the needs of each client, offering bespoke short and long-term support for a variety of needs including motor neurone disease, multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, Parkinson’s disease and Huntington's disease.
Where possible, we’ll work with our client to build a care plan that focuses on meeting holistic and client-centred needs. Our support can make a significant and positive impact. For example, it allows some of our clients to attend university and others to partake in activities and interests that they would not be able to do unassisted.
MEDICATION ASSISTANCE
Our care and support services are committed to relieve the stress by supporting you to manage your medication. Taking a variety of different pills in differing amounts at specific times can be very challenging to cope with.
Medication assistance can be given in many ways to ensure that you are taking the right medicine at the right time. We can prompt you, assist you with this or give full support by administration. That way we will be ensuring that your health needs are met.
Another way we can help is to support you to have your prescribed medication put into a Monitored Dosage System by the Pharmacist. You will still have to take your medication at the right time, but you won't have to worry about organising them. It will be clearly marked once you have taken your medication to avoid any confusion. However, if you still need a lot of help with your medication then we can administer your tablets from this system for you.
Every member of our care team receives full training in medication in our award-winning training course. They are qualified and approved to prompt, assist or administer your medication assistance.
COMPANIONSHIP
P4healthcare UK Ltd understand the importance of quality companionship. Someone to talk with, share experiences, enjoy activities – even a simplest interaction can make a real difference to someone’s day. The company of people is something we often take for granted, and yet it’s one of the biggest factors in our day-to-day happiness, health and general wellbeing.
Older people may have experienced the passing away of friends and loved ones, whilst those suffering from an illness or disability may find it an obstacle to participating in social activities or making new, lasting friendships. Whatever the reason, a lack of meaningful connections for these individuals can bring about a sense of loneliness and isolation.
Our carers are warm and friendly, providing support that our clients can rely on. Sometimes, it’s the simple things that make a difference; whether it’s playing a game, doing a puzzle, going for a walk, providing interesting conversation, or simply making them smile, our carers will do what it takes ensure our client feels happy, comfortable and supported.
